PIER is organising a careers evening in UCC Aula Maxima for undergrads, interns and pharmacists interested in careers in the pharmaceutical industry.
The event will take place on Thursday evening 1st Feb 2018. The formal part of the evening will run from 6.30pm-9.00pm with refreshments available from 6.00pm.
Attendees will be invited to rotate around seven focus areas (Commercial, Manufacturing/Tech Services, Market Access, Medical, Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance, Quality & Compliance, Regulatory Affairs) where they can learn about some of the interesting careers in industry by chatting to pharmacists working in the particular area. PIER is organising an evening workshop for those pharmacists on the pilot mentorship programme in TCD School of Pharmay on Tuesday evening 21st November 2017 (7pm-10pm).
The objective of this pilot programme is to support pharmacists looking to make the transition into an industry role or early career industry pharmacists looking to make the next step. The pilot has been running since 1st June 2017 for six months. Eleven PIER members are participating as mentees supported by experienced pharmacist mentors. This initiative is being supported by career coach Margaret Dorgan.
